Into the Breach CEO Reveals Player Contract Terms

Sam "SlayTheMinotaur" Macedonio, the CEO of the British esports club Into the Breach, has disclosed the contract durations for the members of their Counter-Strike 2 roster.

The shortest contract is held by Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, lasting 10 months, while the longest is with Kristian "REDSTAR" Pironkov, for 25 months. Here is a complete list of the players and coaches at Into the Breach and their contract lengths:

- juanflatroo – 24 months, starting from 13.06.2024

- sinnopsyy – 24 months, starting from 12.06.2024

- Keoz – 24 months, starting from 05.06.2024

- smooya – 12 months, starting from 01.06.2024

- REDSTAR – 25 months, starting from 01.08.2024

- BOROS – 10 months, starting from 10.07.2024

- Juve – 12 months, starting from 15.06.2024

- kRYSTAL – 24 months, starting from 15.06.2024

- rallen – 13 months, starting from 01.12.2023

Macedonio explained that the contract length is determined based on the preferences of both the player and the club and typically averages around two years. However, the terms for termination, buyouts, etc., can vary from contract to contract, depending on which party had more negotiating leverage at the time of signing.

According to SlayTheMinotaur, when a player is moved to the bench, they continue to receive between 30% to 70% of their contracted salary (usually 50%). Both parties maintain their obligations to each other.

As a reminder, last month, 23-year-old Bulgarian esports player Kristian "REDSTAR" Pironkov joined the Into the Breach Counter-Strike 2 roster. He took the place of Mohammad "BOROS" Malhas, who has been moved to the bench by the organisation.
