Assistant coach of the South American team FURIA, Vyacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin, commented on his team's advancement to the final stage of the 20th season of the ESL Pro League for Counter-Strike 2. Britvin highlighted the team's progress but noted that some aspects of their game still require improvement.
"2:0, we beat RED Canids, and advance to the playoffs. In the first round, we'll face either Team Spirit, FaZe, or BIG—quite a spread. We should have qualified earlier, through the match against Virtus.pro, if we hadn't completely messed up the attack on Mirage, but it is what it is. We have made improvements to the map pool, but there are still issues with Anubis overall (particularly the attack) and with defence on Vertigo. We'll find out our opponent for Tuesday this evening."
ESL Pro League Season 20 is taking place from September 3-22 in Malta with 32 teams participating. The total prize pool for the championship is $750,000. The playoffs will begin on September 17, with FURIA starting their campaign from the first round of the playoff bracket.
