G2 player Nemanja "huNter-" Kovac evaluated his current form in CS2. In an interview with the organisers of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024, Kovac noted that he has made significant progress since the beginning of the season, although there is still room for improvement.
"Overall, since the launch of CS2, I’ve experienced many ups and downs, and I haven’t played as well as I should have. However, since the start of this season, I can say I’ve significantly improved my game, and my stats have gone up as well. I’m happy with this, but I know I can contribute much more to the team, so I strive to get better every day and work hard on myself. I’ll soon be back to the level I was at in CS:GO."
The Bosnian esports athlete also addressed whether Counter-Strike 2 could ever surpass Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
"Right now, they’re not even close. Perhaps in a few years, if they start taking it more seriously and release more significant updates, the situation could change, but at the moment, the difference is huge. By the end of its run, CS:GO was an ideal game, and while CS2 has better graphics, when it comes to shooting or movement, comparing them is pointless."
The BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 is taking place from 25th to 29th September in Copenhagen, Denmark. The total prize pool for the tournament is $425,000, to be shared among the eight teams, with the top team also securing a spot at the BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
