Team Spirit's coach, Sergey "hally" Shavaev, commented in an interview with HLTV on his team's victory over Vitality in the semifinals of the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024. Shavaev admitted that Vitality's play style was somewhat unfamiliar to them due to their limited encounters this season.
"I'm satisfied. This season, we played against Vitality the least, so their play style was a bit unfamiliar to us since we rarely meet. Now, after our second encounter, I feel more comfortable playing against them. It's better than it was in Dallas.
I'm very pleased that we kept our composure after the first half of Mirage and tried to get back into the game. If not for a few details, perhaps we could have won Mirage as well", said Hally.
Shavaev also responded to a question about whether Team Spirit would consider themselves the best team in the world if they won the current championship in the UK.
"It's hard to say if we'll become the best team in the world. I think we're improving our game from tournament to tournament, but it's too early to talk about winning every tournament.
We want to progress from tournament to tournament and strive for victories along the way. I believe we're moving in the right direction."
