BC.Game coach Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovač commented on the ban of joel by the anti-cheat during an official match. On his personal X page, GuardiaN stated:
"At this point, I have no concrete information about joel's ban, as I haven't received clear evidence. I've only been told 'trust us, it's true,' which is not enough for me to conclude. Until there's 100% proof of guilt, I will support my player, both as a coach and as a person. I value honesty in our game and am strongly against cheating in any form.
While the investigation continues, joel has been moved to the reserve, and we are exploring options to keep the team operational. This is a serious situation, and I am committed to ensuring that decisions are made fairly and with respect for the game and my team."
BC.Game was disqualified from the CCT Season 2 Europe: Series #7 for CS2 due to joel's ban for using third-party software during a match against B8 Esports. Subsequently, the club removed joel from the active roster pending further investigation, while the tournament operator and anti-cheat developers confirmed that the ban could not be a mistake.
