Golden becomes new coach of SAW

The Portuguese esports club SAW has announced a new addition to its Counter-Strike 2 roster, with Maikil "Golden" Selim joining the team as coach. The announcement was posted on the organisation's X social media page.

The 30-year-old Swedish player replaces Danny "BERRY" Krüger, who left SAW on 10 October.

Golden’s previous team was EYEBALLERS, where he played from March to September 2024 before being benched due to unsatisfactory results. He became a free agent on 21 October.

It’s worth noting that just SAW claimed victory at the ESL Challenger Katowice 2024, a small LAN tournament held in Katowice, Poland, from 25 to 27 October. This win saw the team rise to 14th in the HLTV world rankings.

The current SAW roster is as follows:

- Ricardo "roman" Oliveira

- Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto

- Joao "story" Vieira

- Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes

- Andre "Ag1l" Gil

Coach: Maikil "Golden" Selim
