Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen has officially left the starting lineup of G2's Counter-Strike 2 team. The German club announced the Dane's move to the bench on the social media platform X.
Nielsen joined G2 in August 2022 after spending over a year with the CPH Flames. With him, the team finished in the top four at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and won IEM Dallas 2024. However, they finished last at the recent BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024 in London. HooXi served as the team's captain.
The club has not specified who will fill the vacant spot on the roster. Likely, the team has already chosen a replacement, as participants in the Esports World Cup 2024 must finalize their rosters by today, July 1st.
This marks the second change for G2 in the past couple of weeks. Last month, the club benched Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and replaced him with Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa from M80.
The current G2 roster:
- Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
- Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
- Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
- Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa
Victor "TaZ" Wojtas (coach)
