The British esports organisation fnatic has announced a player replacement in their Counter-Strike 2 roster. Aurélien "afro" Drapier has been moved to the bench after over a year with fnatic, having joined in July 2023. The announcement was made on Fnatic's page on social media platform X.
The new addition to the team is Tim "nawwk" Jonasson, who has joined fnatic on loan from BLEED, with an option to buy out his contract at the end of the loan period (the terms of which have not been disclosed). The 26-year-old Swede has been with BLEED since May this year, boasting an average rating of 1.11 over the past three months across 64 maps.
The revamped fnatic roster will make its debut on 24th September, in the final stage of the online tournament YaLLa Compass Summer 2024. It’s worth noting that the team had a disappointing performance at ESL Pro League Season 20, finishing in 21st to 28th place. Currently, they are ranked 26th in the HLTV world rankings.
The current fnatic roster is as follows:
- Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson
- Alexandre "bodyy" Pianoro
- Matúš "MATYS" Šimko
- Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
- Tim "nawwk" Jonasson (on loan)
