F0rest: “I wanted to play at another major. Will I succeed? It’s unlikely”

The renowned Swedish esports player, Patrick "f0rest" Lindberg, assessed his chances of returning to the professional Counter-Strike scene. Lindberg expressed his desire to compete in another Major but acknowledged that the odds were slim.

"I would have liked to play in one more Major. Will I manage to? Probably not. But I need to think everything through before I close the door completely. I will make this decision when the time comes. But it's not far away."

f0rest also mentioned that he isn't keen on starting a new team from scratch with young players, although he doesn't rule out passing on his experience to aspiring esports athletes in the future.

"What JW and flusha did with EYEBALLERS is amazing. But I don't know if I could go through all of that again. It's pretty much what we did with Dignitas. It takes a lot of time – starting from scratch and trying to create something meaningful around it. I don't know if I have the energy for that. So I haven't thought about it, but it's great in general.

If I can somehow help the next generation of Swedish players, I will do it, to pass on my experience and knowledge and help in any way I can."

Lindberg's last team was Dignitas, representing them from 2020 to 2022. Before that, he spent around eight years with NIP. Throughout his career as a professional CS player, he earned $740,000 in prize money.
