On May 6, the organizers of the massive esports championship Esports World Cup unveiled all participants of the new club support program. Team Spirit was notably absent from the list.
In a comment to the Telegram channel CYBERSLOVO, the organization's management explained that Team Spirit had submitted an application to participate in the program under the general terms but did not receive approval. However, representatives of the Esports World Cup Foundation did not provide any explanation for the rejection. Team Spirit's management emphasized that this circumstance would not affect the club's future plans in any way.
The club support program by the Esports World Cup Foundation includes 30 esports organizations, which can now count on additional financial support. Nineteen of them — such as Cloud9, FaZe, fnatic, and others — are currently represented in the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene.
