Popular content creator Erik Shokov has evaluated the prospects of his team, CYBERSHOKE, in Counter-Strike 2. In a comment to Esports.ru, Shokov admitted that he should not have made bold statements about qualifying for the major tournament but noted that he is pleased with the team’s current performance. Recently, the roster entered the top 90 in the HLTV rankings.
"I made a big mistake by making loud claims that our team would qualify for the major – it was too ambitious. Now, the goal is simpler: we need to reach the Challenger league, the next step after the Advance league. If we achieve that, I will be satisfied, but the team’s results are already encouraging. The roster is currently ranked in the world’s top 90, a respectable record. Overall, things should change in December. I'm betting on the end of the year."
In April this year, CYBERSHOKE introduced its new roster for Counter-Strike 2 – the club either purchased or rented players from FORZE, GUN5, and the Team Spirit Academy. The team also hired a new coach. The transfer costs for the four new esports athletes amounted to $100,000.
