EliGE: "We need to move step by step. I am confident that we can defeat anyone"

Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, a player for the American team Complexity, assessed his team's current performance in the ESL Pro League Season 19. The esports athlete shared his thoughts in an interview after defeating Virtus.pro in the match for a spot in the tournament's semifinals.

"I always say that we need to take it step by step. I don't think anyone could have predicted that we would go this far, but I'm confident that we can beat anyone, we have the players for it. We've already shown this level in Sydney and at the Fall Final.

It seems to me that historically our bar has been quite low in this team - we can just lose a bunch of rounds, lose to anyone, lose our advantage, and so on. That's why it was so difficult for us. But I think in this tournament, thanks to our good communication, we didn't let those rounds slip away from us.

We had slow starts, but we discussed how we wanted to deal with it. It worked in this match, and I'm very happy about that. And yeah, we just need to keep moving forward step by step. The next match will be tough, but they all are."

It's worth noting that Complexity advanced directly to the quarterfinals of ESL Pro League Season 19 based on the results of the group stage. In the match for a spot in the final, the team will face the winner of the G2 - MOUZ match.
