Danil "donk" Kryshkovets of Team Spirit has shared his thoughts on whether he aims to secure the title of the best Counter-Strike 2 player for 2024. The Russian esports player stressed that team achievements mean far more to him than individual accolades. He expressed this perspective in an interview with the BLAST Premier World Final 2024 organisers.
"It's an intense race, and winning would be incredible, given the prestigious award. But a win would simply indicate that we were the best team throughout the year, and that’s what matters most. Team achievements hold far more weight than individual awards. Of course, receiving this personal recognition would be an honour, but it doesn’t compare to what the team can achieve together," he said.
Team Spirit began their campaign at the Singapore championship with a victory over Vitality. Next, they will face G2 in the battle for first place in the group. The BLAST Premier World Final 2024 runs from 30 October to 3 November in Singapore, featuring a prize pool of one million USD to be split among the eight competing teams.
