Team Spirit player Danil "donk" Kryzhkovets spoke out after the loss to MOUZ in the grand final of BetBoom Dacha CS2 Belgrade 2024. In an interview with HLTV.org, he noted that his team failed to showcase their game in the deciding match.
"MOUZ is a strong team in good form. It's hard to say they're doing anything special because we failed to execute twice. We performed poorly, plus we didn't play our game. It's hard to pinpoint their actions because when we played against them, we weren't at our best.
The first time in the RMR, we had some issues, and we couldn't influence that, but this time we were just awful. It's more about us being awful than them doing anything special."
Later, in a Telegram message, Kryzhkovets clarified his previous statements regarding the outcome of BetBoom Dacha CS2 Belgrade 2024.
"I think clarity is needed. I in no way deny MOUZ's merit; they are currently the strongest team in the world, which was evident in the game. This time, they proved stronger."
The BetBoom Dacha CS2 Belgrade 2024 tournament is from May 14 to 19 in Serbia. Eight teams competed for $500,000.
