On the night of July 18, developers of Counter-Strike 2 released a small patch to fix a shooter bug that allowed players to drop unlimited weapons to teammates without spending money. The error was addressed a few hours after it was discovered. This information was published on the INCS2 channel on Telegram.
To give teammates weapons without spending money, players needed to input two console commands: alias "bug2" "sellback 15; buy unused 15 unused2; pickup_groundweapon 7;" and bind x "bug2;bug2;bug2;bug2" (where x is any key). The flaw was initially discovered by a dataminer using the nickname Aquarius.
Earlier, Natus Vincere participant Justinas "jL" Lekavicius commented on bugs in CS2, expressing hope for prompt fixes that have long been causing issues for both regular users and professional players. "It's simply unacceptable," jL noted.
