Counter-Strike 2 Fixes Crash Issue Caused by NVIDIA Driver

The crash issue in Counter-Strike 2 caused by the NVIDIA driver has been resolved, according to ESL representative Mark Winter, who announced the news on social media platform X. Winter stated that the problem was completely avoided at the recent IEM Dallas 2024 championship in the USA, thanks to the combined efforts of Valve, NVIDIA, and the event organizers.

"After the conclusion of IEM Dallas 2024, I can confirm that we had zero instances of the so-called 'NVIDIA crash' at this tournament. We were in constant communication with Valve and NVIDIA to address the issue and conducted numerous tests during the ESL Pro League. We are pleased that the problem was fixed in the latest patch, bringing an end to the community's months-long ordeal with CS2 crashes."

The 'NVIDIA crash' in question occurred during a match between Virtus.pro and G2, which was crucial for advancing to the playoffs of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024. During the match, Jami "Jame" Ali's game crashed at a critical moment, resulting in his character being killed. This allowed the opponent to win a difficult round, tie the series, and ultimately win the match.
