FURIA assistant coach Vyacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin commented on Cloud9's elimination from the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 in Copenhagen. Britvin believes that the team performed admirably in their debut tournament. He shared his thoughts on his personal Telegram channel.
"I see some strange disappointment/questions in the air about Cloud9's play. Many people seem to want too much too soon, in my opinion. Cloud9 played quite well for their first tournament, especially considering they didn't have much time to prepare. Even the match against FaZe was very close. I'm confident the team will perform much better in the Showdown and the closed qualifiers for the RMR.
I don't consider this roster to be bad or weak. I think the Cloud9 lineup won't be contending for titles and probably not even top-2 or top-4 in major tournaments, but they can make it to the playoffs. Overall, it's a quality roster for a relatively reasonable amount of money (assuming there isn’t an exorbitant overpayment for the newcomers)."
Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov's team did not win a single series at BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024, losing to FaZe and NIP and exiting the tournament in last place. Cloud9 received five thousand dollars in prize money and a slot at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
