Patrick "cArn" Sattermon, co-owner of the esports club fnatic, has stated that he sees progress in fnatic's Counter-Strike 2 results, though the team still has a long way to go to achieve their goals. The Swede made this announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) page.
"We have a long road ahead to reach the level of play we aspire to. Since acquiring BlameF in May, we have made several commendable strides as a team, but given the ever-increasing competition, we need to do more to ensure we can perform consistently, not just occasionally, at every tournament we participate in.
While many of our efforts and long-term goals are focused on the Shanghai Major RMR, we enter the Pro League with high expectations and a thirst for victory—especially considering our 19th season result, where we missed out on the playoffs for the first time in quite a while."
Fnatic begins their campaign in the 20th season of the ESL Pro League. In the first round of Group C, the team will face Astralis. As of now, fnatic's Counter-Strike 2 team is ranked 25th in the HLTV rankings.
