Following MOUZ's win over FaZe in their opening match of the BLAST Premier World Final 2024 group stage, team member Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin spoke to the tournament organisers about the mindset he and his teammates brought to the event.
"We’re playing really good CS right now and training hard. I think FaZe may not be at their best – maybe they're in good form, but not at the level they were the last time we played against them. It was a tense game, especially towards the end with overtime and a 13-11 scoreline, but overall, we’re displaying great CS, and we’re very pleased with that. <...>
I think we truly regained our confidence in Rio, managing wins over FaZe, Vitality, and FURIA on their home ground, and we almost took NAVI to a fifth map in the final. Coming into this tournament, we felt confident. Before the season began, we weren’t even sure we’d qualify, but we made it on points, so this is like a bonus event for us. While we’re here to win, it also serves as excellent preparation for the major."
MOUZ kicked off the Singapore tournament with a win over FaZe. They will next face Astralis in a match for the top spot in the group. The BLAST Premier World Final 2024 runs from 30 October to 3 November in Singapore, with a one-million-dollar prize pool divided among eight teams.
