The tournament organiser BLAST has officially banned the use of the Snap Tap function, available to owners of Razer keyboards, and similar scripts in their Counter-Strike 2 tournaments.
However, Jump-throw binds have not been banned – the BLAST regulations continue to allow players to use them. The new rule will take effect at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024.
This follows the official announcement from the developers of Counter-Strike 2, banning the use of Snap Tap and other binds that produce similar effects on official servers. Since BLAST matches take place on third-party servers, it is still unclear how the company will enforce the ban.
The BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2024 will run from 21st to 25th August, featuring 16 teams. The teams will compete for a prize pool of $135,000 and two slots in the BLAST Premier Fall Finals.
