BlameF: "I'm ready to take a step back and prove that I can play at a high level"

Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, a member of fnatic, shared his thoughts on his experience with the current team. Bremer noted that since he joined the fnatic roster in May this year, the team has been showing steady progress. He shared his insights in an interview with HLTV.org.

"So far, everything is great. First of all, I want to say that the organisation is just fantastic. They treat us really well, and I've felt comfortable from day one and still do, so I’m very happy to be in a place where the organisation is well-structured and organised, and all that sort of stuff.

I also feel very comfortable in the team. Maybe not in the last few matches, where we didn’t perform as well, but overall, we’ve achieved some really good results since I joined. So, I can say I’m very happy to be here."

The Danish esports player also reflected on his performance and prospects. Bremer stated that he would do everything in his power to return fnatic to a tier-1 level in Counter-Strike.

"I understand that I’m not even being considered for the top 20 right now because we aren’t playing in the biggest tournaments, so that’s, of course, unrealistic at the moment. But for me, it’s important to be in a place where I can prove again that I’m good enough. I’m ready to take a step back and prove that I can play at a high level. It’s all on me: if I want to play at tier-1, I have to bring fnatic back to tier-1.

And if I’m not good enough, then so be it, you know, I’m not afraid of that challenge. I’m just going to play CS, try to enjoy it again, and do my best to show people that I can still perform at a high level."

Bremer’s team will begin their journey at the RES Regional Champions 2024 tournament in Belgrade, Serbia. Fnatic has been placed in a group alongside Solid, PARIVISION, and UNPAID. The event’s total prize pool amounts to a quarter of a million US dollars.
