Rodrigo "biguzera" Bittencourt, captain of the Brazilian team paiN, reflected in an interview with HLTV.org on what paiN lacks to make a significant leap and become one of the strongest teams on the professional Counter-Strike 2 scene.
"I could say the usual: ‘play more in Europe,’ but I believe it’s not just about that. We need to make progress and sometimes remain calmer, handling situations better in the game. Everyone has good skills, crazy aim, and all that, but sometimes we make mistakes that teams in the top 10 usually avoid. So we need to improve on the little things, but there are a lot of little things. It’s like a puzzle, with many small pieces."
The Brazilian player also discussed his role within the team and his interactions with his younger teammates.
"I’ve always felt like the father of the team, a sort of dad figure. I always share my opinions on what’s right and wrong, and they always listen to me, so that’s a positive. I’m really happy to be part of this team; perhaps this role suits me, so I enjoy it."
Yesterday, paiN secured a clean victory over 9z's roster, advancing to the final round of the group A bracket at the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2, thus guaranteeing themselves a spot in the playoffs.
