The BetBoom Team will not be able to compete in the upcoming IEM Cologne 2024 in Germany due to visa issues. The organisation announced this on social media.
Alexander Sevirinov, the CEO of the club, commented on the announcement:
"The management of the organisation did everything possible in preparing and submitting the documents for the team to attend the tournament, but unfortunately, the current visa processing times have increased, and it's challenging to influence this."
The organisers of IEM Cologne 2024 have already found a replacement for BetBoom Team – the vacant spot will be filled by 3DMAX.
It was previously announced that the European team HEROIC will compete at IEM Cologne 2024 without Abdul "degster" Gasanov, with Vladimir "Woro2k" Veletnyuk stepping in as his replacement. Additionally, FURIA's assistant coach Vyacheslav "innersh1ne" Britvin will also miss the tournament.
IEM Cologne 2024 will take place from the 7th to the 18th of August in Cologne, Germany, featuring 24 teams. The total prize pool for the event is $1 million.
