Adren on His Emotions After Winning MVP at PGL Krakow Major
In a recent interview with Cyber, Dauren "Adren" Kystaubayev shared his feelings about being named MVP at the PGL Krakow Major.
"When you win a Major and receive MVP, what do you feel? A sense of emptiness?"
Adren described feeling empty after the Major win. "When I got up from the computer, I thought it was over, that we had finished the game. Later, we were in the locker room, discussing, celebrating, and then they called me. I thought it was for an interview, but they told me I was the MVP. I was like, 'Cool.' I told the guys, and they congratulated me. But I didn’t fully realise, and even now, I still don't fully grasp that I was the MVP of the Major."
He also reflected on a decline in motivation post-Major victory. "There was a decline because we couldn't find a new goal and motivation. I tried to create it artificially—I wanted to dominate and build an era. But it wasn’t the same. We were burned out after winning the Major."
When asked if becoming the top player in the world wasn't enough motivation, Adren acknowledged that while he had those ambitions and desires, his performance dropped once he became the captain of Gambit. "After winning the Major, I became the captain of Gambit, and my stats immediately went down," he revealed.
Adren was named MVP of the Krakow Major in 2017 when Gambit defeated Immortals 2-1 in the grand final.
Previously, Adren supported Dexter due to visa issues.
