Dmitry "spirit" Veko, the sporting director of 9 Pandas, has addressed the controversy surrounding the transfer of Yevgeny "r3salt" Frolov from Aurora to 9 Pandas. Veko advised Frolov’s former teammates, who have labelled him a "rat," to choose their words carefully. He shared his comments on his Telegram channel.
"When the negotiations with Fierce and shalfey were nearing completion, Zhenya asked us to take him in because his expectations from Aurora were not being met. Everything was not as he had hoped. I conveyed this information to the CEO, who contacted Aurora’s management and said: ‘Your player wants to join us. Sort out the conflict.’
After a while, Zhenya came back and said: ‘I can't take it anymore, I want to join you, please pay Aurora for me.’ We then began looking for funds. As soon as we found the money for the transfer, we completed it. I don’t understand why Zhenya is being called a rat for leaving the team.
If I were in their shoes, I’d be more careful with my words because Zhenya might reveal the true reasons for leaving the team. To the community: consider what must have been going through a person’s mind, how bad things must have been for him to be willing to leave the RMR and join a team without a slot, just to prove himself, to strive, to work, and to achieve results."
R3salt also commented on the situation on his Telegram channel, referring to his former team as a "sinking ship."
