BetBoom Team’s Counter-Strike 2 captain, Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov, took to his personal Telegram page to comment on the new patch for the shooter. He highlighted that the release of the update indicates Valve's interest in improving the game.
"It would have been more sensible to ban the snapthrow a day before the closed qualifiers. But on the bright side, it seems Valve cares about the game."
Earlier, Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev also weighed in on the update, expressing his dissatisfaction with the ban on jumpthrow: "The fools decided to bully us."
In the early hours of 20 August, Valve implemented several changes to Counter-Strike 2. The patch prohibits players from using automated input for movement commands and equipment via binds and specialised devices. Additionally, the studio officially announced the start of testing for VacNet 3.0, the new anti-cheat system.
