Aurora coach: “There is no control over the coach’s conversations”

The coach of Aurora, Stepan "brain" Sivoronov, highlighted another flaw in the organisation of the Skyesports Championship 2024, currently being held in Mumbai. According to Sivoronov, the tournament administration does not control the communication between coaches and players during matches. Sivoronov shared this on his Telegram channel.

"An interesting point with TeamSpeak. Before the game, the admins said that for a coach to call a pause, they need to shout in TeamSpeak: 'Pause, pause, pause.' But it turned out that for some reason, the admin couldn't join TeamSpeak, and we were sitting in TeamSpeak with six people. There's no control over the coach's conversations. So, in theory, the coach can talk every second of every round. It's entirely up to the teams' integrity, and the admins can't do anything about it."

Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov, the captain of the BetBoom Team, commented on brain's words on Telegram. Vladislav pointed out that under such conditions, the Skyesports Championship 2024 is no different from online tournaments.

"Based on the info given by brain, the coach can technically talk throughout the entire game in TeamSpeak. I suspect that the games are being played on an online server in Mumbai, as they were before. So the question is: what's the difference between this 'LAN' tournament and an online tournament?

Oh, and yesterday they promised the guys they'd install SSDs for the games – unfortunately, they didn't make it in time... they say it will be done tomorrow!"

Earlier, BLEED coach Aleksandar "kassad" Trifunovic mentioned that the participants of the Skyesports Masters 2024 agreed to compete in the championship but issued an ultimatum to the organisers. Before that, the BetBoom Team withdrew from the tournament "due to the failure to meet the declared conditions" and the inability to determine the strongest among the participants.
