The Swedish esports organisation Alliance has launched its academy for Counter-Strike 2. The organisation announced the project's launch on its social media page on X.
Aspiring players who wanted to join Alliance's youth roster had to undergo several stages of selection, supervised by the club’s head coach Simon "Hawk" Wavinggren and main roster player Simon "twist" Eliasson. Ultimately, they selected five young players, aged between 17 and 18, who signed six-month contracts with the organisation.
The selected players are Melker "Lind" Malmer Lindmark, Charlie "StraXter" Eroldsson, Vilmar "Vilmar!" Alexandersson, Mateo "chucker" Löfberg, and Elias "Eken-" Clässon. Lind will take on the role of team captain. The roster is set to gather for a bootcamp soon in preparation for an upcoming open tournament at DreamHack in Stockholm.
