ZywOo: "If we fix the mistakes, we can beat anyone on any map"

Vitality’s star sniper Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut shared his thoughts on the team’s victory over Liquid, which secured their spot in the playoffs at BLAST Premier World Final 2024. In an interview with the organisers of the Singapore tournament, ZywOo expressed his confidence in his team despite recent changes in their roster.

"I feel great. We didn’t get to practise with JACKZ. We are strong enough to beat anyone, but we need to show good CS to do that. I think was decent, aside from the first map, so it feels good to win, and it will be exciting to face MOUZ tomorrow.

It will be interesting [to play in front of the crowd], as we haven’t played in front of a Singapore audience before, and I love this city. It will be great to play in front of spectators and see who is there to support us.

In truth, even though we won, we still made mistakes. If we can fix those, we’ll become stronger and capable of beating anyone on any map. Our core is really solid, so I think we shouldn’t be afraid of anyone."

The BLAST Premier World Final 2024 takes place from 30 October to 3 November in Singapore. The tournament features a prize pool of one million US dollars, shared among the eight participating teams. Following their victory over Liquid, Vitality has advanced to the quarterfinals of the event.
