Team Spirit player Miroslav "zont1x" Plakhotia shared his thoughts on the team's current form in an interview during BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024. He noted that the team is now better prepared for the upcoming tournaments compared to their performance at the Esports World Cup 2024.
"After returning from the Esports World Cup 2024, we had two days off, and then we started doing 6-7 practice sessions a day. We played a lot, and naturally, these sessions have had a positive impact on our form. After coming back from the break, we weren’t in the best shape to showcase our game, but now we’re feeling better each day and making progress. I think we’re definitely in a better place now than we were in Riyadh."
Plakhotia also mentioned that the result at the EWC gave them a motivational boost for the second half of the season. He acknowledged that the EWC was their first tournament after the break, which made it challenging to deliver their best performance. He is now confident that the team is in a much better position.
Team Spirit finished 5-8 at the Esports World Cup 2024, losing to G2 Esports in the first round of the playoffs. The tournament took place from July 17-21 in Riyadh. As of the publication of this interview, zont1x and his team are competing in BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024, which started on July 29. In the first round of the group stage, Team Spirit defeated OG with a score of 2-0.
