Zonic about VP's comeback on Mirage

The coach of Team Falcons for CS2, Danny "zonic" Sørensen, commented on their defeat to Virtus.pro in the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2 playoffs. In a post-match interview on stage, Sørensen noted that the team lacked aggressive actions during their attack on Mirage and should have done more to prevent their opponents from making a comeback.

"While defending, we had a good understanding of their actions on Mirage, just like the last time we played against them on this map. We were two rounds away from winning. We ended the first half 8-4 in our favour, which was a satisfactory score. But in attack, we needed to show more courage in some moments. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen today. I mean, sometimes someone needs to make a sacrifice, and it can't always be Snappi. We discussed this a lot within our team. When we play well, we act that way, but today was one of those days when things didn’t work out."

The match between Virtus.pro and Team Falcons at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 #2 ended with a 2-1 victory for the Russian team. This was Virtus.pro’s first win over Falcons in their last four meetings. The tournament runs from 24 August to 1 September in Serbia, with teams competing for a prize pool of $500,000.
