Vitality Joins Intel Grand Slam Race

Thanks to their victory at IEM Cologne 2024, Vitality has entered the race for the Intel Grand Slam. Dan "apEX" Madesclaire’s team needs to win three more ESL Pro Tour Masters events to secure the prize. They still have nine chances left to achieve this.

Currently, Team Spirit, FaZe, MOUZ, and G2 are also competing for the prestigious award. The "Dragons" have one elite-level trophy to their name, while the others have two; one of G2’s victories is also in the elite category.

The Intel Grand Slam will be awarded to the team that wins three ESL Pro Tour Masters events and one major elite Championship event (IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, or an ESL Major). From the moment of their first success, contenders have nine chances to claim the remaining three titles.

Previous Intel Grand Slam winners, since its inception in 2018, include Astralis, Liquid, NAVI, and FaZe. The fifth season was announced in spring 2023, when ESL revealed that the competition would start in CS:GO and continue after the transition to CS2.
