Vitality and 9z are the first teams to advance to the playoffs of IEM Dallas 2024, securing two consecutive victories in Group A. In the upper bracket semifinal, Dana "apEX" Madesclaire's squad outperformed G2 (13:6 on Dust2 and 13:5 on Anubis), while the South American team sensationally prevailed over Liquid (16:13 on Nuke, 9:13 on Nuke, and 13:11 on Dust2).

Meanwhile, the opening matches of the lower bracket took place, where the losing teams forfeited the opportunity to continue in the competition. Falcons proved stronger than Monte with a score of 2:0 (13:10 on Dust2 and 13:4 on Nuke), while MOUZ defeated Complexity in three maps (16:19 on Vertigo, 13:11 on Ancient, and 13:6 on Nuke).

The encounter between Vitality and 9z in the group final will determine the team advancing directly to the tournament semifinal on May 29. On the other hand, the competition in the lower bracket will continue today: Falcons will face Liquid, while MOUZ will take on G2.
