Virtus.pro Esports Organization Announces New CS2 Coach

Virtus.pro has announced the appointment of Andrey "XomA" Mironenko as the new coach of their Counter-Strike 2 roster. The announcement was made on the club's official website.

Mironenko replaces Dastan "dastan" Akbayev, who was relieved of his duties on May 30. The Kazakhstani esports professional had been leading the "bears" since late 2019.

Nikolay Petrosyan, the CEO of Virtus.pro, outlined the goals set for XomA:

"Our roster needs a fresh perspective on the game and assistance in updating their playbook to align with the current meta, ensuring we're ready to outplay any opponents regardless of external factors. Additionally, the new coach will need to help players find stability and develop a system where our stars can fully utilize their strengths."

Since March of last year, Mironenko has been coaching the 9 Pandas roster. Before that, he spent about a year and a half working with Entropiq as an assistant coach.

According to the official announcement, XomA will begin working with Virtus.pro on June 17. Pavel "PASHANOJ" Legostaev will prepare the team for the upcoming BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, which starts on June 12.

Notably, VP placed 9th-12th at IEM Dallas 2024, made the top 6 at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024, and finished in the top 8 at ESL Pro League Season 19.

Current Virtus.pro Roster:

Jami "Jame" Ali
Evgeny "FL1T" Lebedev
Petr "fame" Bolyshev
David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan
Denis "electroNic" Sharipov
Coach: Andrey "XomA" Mironenko
