Valve has announced new rules for creating autographs for players

The developers of Counter-Strike 2 have sent instructions to all participants of the upcoming RMR tournaments on creating signatures for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024. According to the new rules, the signature should resemble a real autograph and should be completed in just a few seconds.

"We want the signatures to look like those you make when signing a fan's mousepad. Take a blank sheet of paper, a black marker, and put down your autograph," states the Valve regulation. The developers have listed elements that may cause a signature to be rejected.

"The autograph should look the same as when you sign a fan's mousepad. It should take no more than 5-10 seconds to create. If it takes longer, the autograph is too complicated.

The signature must be made BY YOU, not by someone else. It doesn’t matter if your signature isn’t spectacular; it just needs to be your own! If someone else makes your signature on your behalf, it may be rejected.

The following elements in a signature could lead to its rejection:

- Computer graphics

- Fonts

- Excessively complex letters or drawings (whether hand-drawn or computer-generated)

- Anything that cannot be replicated by hand in 5-10 seconds."

Valve will handle the autograph collection process directly at the RMR tournaments, which will take place in November this year.

The Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 will be held from 30 November to 15 December in Shanghai, China. The total prize pool for the championship is $1.25 million, which will be divided among 24 teams.
