Twistzz: "We're aiming for the championship"

Team Liquid captain Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken shared his thoughts on his team’s performance in ESL Pro League Season 20 in Malta. The Canadian esports player believes that he and his teammates are capable of winning the tournament. Twistzz expressed his views in an interview with HLTV.

"When we arrived at this tournament after our practice sessions, I felt like we were contenders for the title. Of course, there are no easy opponents in the ESL Pro League playoffs, and I believe every team here has earned their place to fight for the trophy. G2 will be a serious challenge for us. <...>

We're 100% aiming for victory. Our last goal was to make it to the top eight, and now that we’ve achieved that, we need to take the next step. Naturally, Vitality is a very strong team, but even then, I don’t think we showed our best performance against them – there was a lot of laziness when it came to executing small details at the highest level, and we've fixed that. G2 has a lot of firepower, so we need to make sure we show everything we’re capable of on the day."

Van Dulken’s team became the final quarter-finalist of ESL Pro League Season 20 in Counter-Strike 2. In the second round of the playoff bracket, Liquid secured a 2-0 victory over Complexity. Liquid will face G2 in the next round of the playoffs.
