Liquid team member Russell 'Twistzz' Van Dulken explained why the team decided to make changes to their roster, replacing two players and their coach, during the off-season. According to Van Dulken, the previous Liquid roster lacked synergy among the players.
He noted that the team was missing a strong work ethic and wasn't functioning properly either in or out of the game. There was neither chemistry nor synergy, and without these two elements, playing was impossible. Regarding the first season of 2024, he mentioned there was little to say.
Twistzz also responded to a question about what it was like to play under the leadership of former Liquid captain Casper 'cadiaN' Møller.
He stated that it was very different from his experience in FaZe. In some ways, it made him appreciate karrigan more, and that's all he could say on the matter.
The new Liquid roster is set to debut at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 championship, which will be held in Copenhagen from 29 July to 4 August, featuring 16 teams. The event's prize pool is $190,000. Liquid has been grouped with NAVI, Virtus.pro, and BIG.
