Train, cancellation of operations and chickens

According to unofficial reports, Valve may completely abandon the concept of operations in Counter-Strike 2. Instead, Valve is expected to release Battle Pass-style events in the future, similar to the "Arsenal" event. This information was shared by Maxim "Gabe Follower" Poletaev.

Poletaev reached this conclusion after analysing the changes in the game’s files following today's patch. Specifically, the line “Operation Reward” was renamed to “Reward.” The last operation in CS took place from 22 September 2021 to 22 February 2022.

Additionally, a dataminer known as Aquarius revealed another discovery he found in the code of Counter-Strike 2 after the release of the "Arsenal" update. Mentions of the Train map have surfaced deep within the client, leading Aquarius to believe that Valve are working on an updated version of the map for future inclusion in the game.

Finally, another dataminer found references to sound files in the CS2 files, hinting at the possible addition of chicks to the game. It seems Valve are considering adding them as pets alongside chickens, a feature the developers have reportedly been working on for some time.
