Torzsi: “We’re in a good mood and ready to show ourselves”

MOUZ sniper Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás commented on his team's recent disappointing performances at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade Season 2 and ESL Pro League Season 20, sharing his thoughts in an interview with HLTV.org:

"At those two tournaments, we didn’t show the game we wanted, and we were eliminated early. There were a lot of thoughts in the team about leadership, the coaching staff, and other things. Right now, we’re in a good mood and ready to show ourselves here in Rio. We want to recover because this is a great opportunity to prove that we deserve to be here, and those two tournaments were just unfortunate incidents that shouldn't have happened. I’m very excited about how this tournament will change us. We’re here for the trophy, and we want to win it."

The Hungarian esports player also expressed his views on best-of-one matches:

"I don’t like it, and the players don’t like it either, because it’s the first game of the tournament, and BO1 always brings a lot of pressure, with no room for mistakes. It benefits the underdog teams because they don’t feel the pressure of playing against a stronger team, and they can play freely. I think it can help them start the tournament that way."

IEM Rio 2024 is set to take place from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, featuring a prize pool of 250,000 US dollars to be split between 16 teams, with the winner earning a spot at IEM Katowice 2025.
