Thomas on OG: "The professionalism of this team is on a completely different level"

Thomas "Thomas" Atting, a stand-in for the OG team, shared his impressions of the new squad in an interview with the organisers of the BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024. The British cyber athlete highlighted the high level of professionalism within OG.

"I think this will be an interesting experience, as the professionalism of this team is on a completely different level in terms of the support they provide.

We haven't had much time, but I think it will be enough to showcase our level, especially considering the tough match we have against Team Spirit. The circumstances are not ideal for either side, but I'm excited to give it a try."

Thomas also spoke about his expectations for the upcoming championship, which starts in just a few days in Copenhagen.

"Honestly, I just want to see how everything goes, build confidence and experience, and test my system with the new team. I used it before with 5W, and it had great success at the start, so I hope to replicate that here.

The opponents are much stronger, but if we can show that we have a competitive edge and are capable of competing with these teams, it will boost my confidence in my abilities.

It's just something to experience, in the sense that BLAST is a really big event, and I want to see if this style will be more effective against Tier 1 teams, as it was in Paris."

BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024 will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 29 July to 4 August, featuring 16 teams. The prize pool for the event will be $190,000. OG is in the same group as Team Spirit, HEROIC, and Complexity.
