A newly recruited member of the ENCE team, Viktor "sdy" Orudzhev, opened up about his departure from the Monte Counter-Strike 2 lineup. In an interview with HLTV, Orudzhev explained that the decision to end their collaboration was mutual and agreed upon by all parties.
"It was a combination of factors. Over the past year that we played together, a lot has happened in Monte, and we just realized that it would be better for both sides if we parted ways. That's all."
The Ukrainian esports player also shared how he ended up joining the ENCE roster. According to him, after leaving Monte, he received several offers.
"I received several offers, maybe four or five, but none of them suited me. I didn't want to join some teams because of my roles or certain team decisions that we wanted to make in the future. But I had many negotiations, very long ones. Eventually, ENCE reached out to me, and I decided to join them because it was the best opportunity for me.
The only thing that mattered to me was that the team wanted to work hard, wanted to progress and do it as a unit. They want to develop properly and in the same ways that I like."
The refreshed ENCE lineup will compete in the upcoming LAN tournament, YaLLa Compass 2024, which kicks off on June 5th. ENCE has been placed in one group with HEROIC, Astralis, TheMongolz, and other opponents.
