A highly rare AK-47 "Case Hardened" skin, valued at $2 million, has been sold to an unnamed collector. The former owner of the item announced the transaction on social media platform X.
The exact sale price of the expensive AK-47 skin has not been disclosed, but it is confirmed to be over a million dollars. The previous owner had previously declined several $1 million offers and had expressed willingness to sell the skin immediately for $2 million.
This sale marks a record for the highest amount paid for a cosmetic item in Counter-Strike. The previous highest-known sale was for an AK-47 "Case Hardened" with the 661 pattern and four Titan Holo stickers, which sold for approximately $400,000.
In January, for the first time in history, a player managed to craft an AK-47 "Case Hardened" with the StatTrak™ technology and the highly coveted 661 pattern, an event considered nearly impossible due to the extremely low odds. This particular item also has the lowest wear level among all known "Case Hardened" skins.
