Inferno currently holds the title of the most popular map featured in the grand finals of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Counter-Strike 2 Majors. Reddit user TheFakeTobias shared this statistic.

Inferno has been picked 15 times in Major grand finals throughout CS history. In second place is Overpass, chosen 9 times, followed by Train with 7 appearances. Vertigo, on the other hand, has yet to make an appearance in a grand final across six past championships.

Recently, Valve updated the banner on the official Counter-Strike 2 account on the social media platform X. The new image showcases wet asphalt, which is believed to be a fragment of Train’s texture. This change has been interpreted as a hint towards the imminent release of an updated map version. Subsequently, journalist Richard Lewis confirmed that Valve intends to remove Vertigo from the map pool and replace it with Train.
