The Esports World Cup Foundation has unveiled the 30 esports organizations

FaZe, Liquid, Cloud9, and G2 are among the organizations accepted into the financial support program.

The Esports World Cup (EWC) Foundation has announced the inclusion of 30 esports organizations in its inaugural club support program. This initiative aims to "foster the development of sustainable infrastructure for multi-disciplinary esports clubs," offering six-figure funding to facilitate their expansion.

Participants in the EWC Club Support Program will receive yearly financial incentives "based on their capacity to drive viewership and fan engagement" to the Esports World Cup. However, being accepted into the program does not guarantee participation in the Saudi festival.

Responding to over 150 applications from esports clubs in February, the EWC Foundation expanded the program from 28 to 30 slots.

Eight of the 30 members were chosen based on criteria including the club’s esports track record, its forward-thinking competitive strategy, and its innovative approach to content and fan interaction. The remaining 22 organizations were directly invited by the EWC Foundation.

The inaugural Esports World Cup, succeeding Gamers8, is set to occur from July 3 to August 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The festival will host 20 tournaments over eight weeks, with a total prize pool of $60 million.

The Counter-Strike tournament, scheduled for July 17-21, will feature 15 teams from across the globe vying for a $1 million prize pool, including FaZe, Spirit, and Natus Vincere.
