TenZ: "Mechanically, Counter-Strike is much better than Valorant"
Former professional CS:GO player Tyson "TenZ" Ngo, who transitioned to Valorant in the spring of 2020, compared the two shooters based on his experience. During a recent stream on his Twitch channel, the Canadian esports athlete stated that Counter-Strike is much better than Riot's competitor in terms of mechanics.
"To be honest, personally for me, CS2 is more fun. I just like this game. I enjoy the mechanical aspect of CS, and it seemed to me that every day you could improve in something mechanical. That was an appealing aspect of the game. Also, you can do a lot of cool stuff with smokes – sometimes you can show your creative approach. But at the same time, I believe you have more opportunities for creativity in Valorant – with certain character abilities. However, from a mechanical point of view, Counter-Strike is much better. There, you get fewer random kills. I've played a lot of CS, aiming to become a professional player, and throughout my career, it seems I've had fewer headshots while running or jumping than in one game of Valorant."
Recall that TenZ was considered one of the most promising representatives of the North American region and at the time of changing disciplines played for Cloud9. Continuing his career in Valorant, he achieved certain successes as part of the Sentinels club, which he has represented since 2021.
