Team Vitality faced ATOX Esports in the first round of Group D at the ESL Pro League Season 20 for CS2. Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's squad secured a 2-0 victory (13:11 on Inferno and 13:7 on Nuke).

In the next round, Vitality will compete against the winner of the FURIA Esports vs Team Falcons match, while the Mongolian team will battle the losing side from the same pair. These matches are scheduled for 12th September. The day will also feature games from Group C, including Complexity Gaming vs Astralis and Rooster vs BIG.

The ESL Pro League Season 20 runs from the 3rd to the 22nd of September, with teams fighting for a prize pool of $750,000.
