The esports club Team Spirit declined an invitation to participate in ESL Pro League Season 19 for CS:GO. As Ulrich Schulze, the Vice President of ESL FACEIT Group, explained, the team was the primary candidate to replace Cloud9, who withdrew from the tournament.
Representatives of Team Spirit did not provide reasons for the team's rejection of the invitation. Cloud9, on the other hand, opted out of ESL Pro League Season 19 due to roster changes. On April 15, it was announced that Denis "electroNic" Sharipov had left the roster to join Virtus.pro, replacing Nikolay "mir" Bityukov.
ESL Pro League Season 19 will take place from April 23 to May 12 in Malta. Thirty-two teams, including Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, and BetBoom Team, will compete for a prize pool of $750,000.
