Team Spirit and 9z were eliminated from the IEM Cologne 2024

Two more teams have concluded their participation in one of the biggest championships of 2024 in Counter-Strike 2 – IEM Cologne 2024.

In the first round of the lower bracket in Group A, 9z were defeated by paiN (13:11 on Anubis, 8:13 on Dust2, 9:13 on Nuke), while Team Spirit fell short against G2 (3:13 on Nuke, 1:13 on Mirage). The winners advanced to the next round of the lower bracket, where they will face The MongolZ and Astralis, while the losers finished in 13th-16th place in the tournament, earning $10,000 in prize money.

IEM Cologne 2024 is taking place from 7th to 18th August in Cologne, Germany, with 24 teams participating. The top three teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The event has a total prize pool of $1 million, with the winner also securing spots at IEM Katowice 2025 and BLAST Premier World Final 2024.
