G2 Esports' Counter-Strike 2 team coach, Victor "TaZ" Wojtas, jokingly summed up his failed stint as a substitute for sniper Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov. The former esports player shared this on his personal X page. "It was fun. Hopefully, I made you proud."
On June 10, representatives of G2 Esports announced that Osipov would have to miss the BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 championship due to visa issues. TaZ, the team's coach, was supposed to substitute for the sniper. On June 11, m0NESY managed to obtain permission to enter the UK.
The BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 matches will take place from June 12 to 16. Eight teams will compete for a prize pool of $425,000, BLAST Premier ranking points, and a slot in the year-end final tournament.
