TabseN: "rigoN had a completely different style of play"

The captain of BIG, Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz, has spoken about how Rigon "rigoN" Gashi is adapting to the new team. In an interview with HLTV.org, the German esports player noted that the Swiss player previously had a playstyle that did not fit with BIG at all.

"I am very proud of him because he brings a lot of ideas. We had a bootcamp, and we are trying to integrate him into our system. Of course, he had a completely different play style. He played very aggressively, which we actually don't need, but sometimes he can add a bit of spice. If he can sometimes switch to control, make sharp moves, and then play more restrained, I think it will give us a lot of control in the game. His shooting accuracy and play style also pose a serious threat to opponents."

TabseN also shared his expectations for the upcoming match against SAW in the Play-In stage at IEM Cologne 2024. Wodarz commented on his thoughts about the Portuguese team.

"I am looking forward to playing against them. SAW is a bit like BIG. They are a team that doesn't attract much attention. They are mostly underdogs, but they have team spirit and all that. So, I am looking forward to a good game. I also have good relations with them, so I just wish them a good game. Not luck, but a good game. I hope we can get stronger with each game."

BIG started their campaign at IEM Cologne 2024 in Cologne with a 2:1 victory over FlyQuest. To advance to the group stage of the tournament, the team will need to defeat SAW tomorrow.
